Kim gave field guidance at the Kim Jong Il Military and Political University, named after his father, who died in 2011 and which, according to KCNA, is the country’s “highest military education house.”

Kim said that if the enemy chooses military confrontation with North Korea, ‘North Korea will deal a mortal blow to the enemy without hesitation by mobilizing all means in its power.’

North Korea has stepped up its weapons development in recent years under Kim and forged closer military and political ties with Russia, reportedly aiding Moscow in its war against Ukraine in exchange for help with strategic military projects.
